Job Fair, Concerts and More Coming Up in Ocean City

Anyone looking for a summer or seasonal job is invited to the Ocean City Job Fair, which will be at the Ocean City Music Pier from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 16.

More than 40 employers will be on hand and ready to provide information on a wide variety of seasonal employment opportunities. The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Ocean City High School to put the event together and help businesses in recruiting employees.

Graham Nash and John Lodge to Join 2024 Summer Concert Series

Ocean City and producers BRE Presents and Bob Rose Productions announced two new shows for the 31st anniversary of the popular Summer Concert Series at the Ocean City Music Pier this year: Graham Nash and the Moody Blues’ John Lodge.

Graham Nash will perform at 7 p.m. Monday, August 26. John Lodge’s show is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, July 15.

Ocean City Wins Nearly $5 Million Grant for Boardwalk Upgrades

Ocean City is receiving a state grant of nearly $5 million to finance a series of improvements to its family-friendly Boardwalk.

The money comes from New Jersey’s $100 million Boardwalk Preservation Fund, a newly created program that will help shore communities to maintain and update what for many of them is their signature attraction during the busy summer tourism season.

Ocean City to Expand Jitney Service for Seniors

The jitney service in Ocean City is not only returning for the 2024 summer season, but it is also expanding to offer stops at several senior citizen housing complexes throughout town.

In a resolution that City Council is expected to approve during Thursday’s meeting, the contract will be awarded to the same company that has provided the jitney service over the past two summers. In addition, the service has provided riders a convenient and inexpensive way to head up to the Boardwalk.

Ocean City Military Beach Tags Will Feature “31Heroes” Logo

The 2024 Ocean City military beach tag features the 31Heroes logo in recognition of the nonprofit organization that raises money and awareness for veteran programs and runs the annual Memorial Beach Challenge in Ocean City.

Ocean City’s military beach tag designs have honored each branch of the military and also local veteran organizations. The city issues more than 5,000 free military beach tags each summer to veterans and active military members.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration Set for Arts Center March 2

The Ocean City Arts Center presents McDermott’s Handy in an early celebration for St. Patrick’s Day and recognizes a member of the duo, Kathy DeAngelo, as a recipient of the inaugural New Jersey Heritage Fellowship award.

The event is Saturday, March 2, at 3 p.m. in the Chris Maloney Lecture Hall of the Ocean City Public Library, 1735 Simpson Ave.

Ocean City Hosts Winter Warrior Festival and Nature Fun Day
