Air Force Band To Perform Free Ocean City Concert

Air Force Band To Perform Free Ocean City Concert

By Josh Bakan, Patch Staff

The brass ensemble of the U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band will perform a free concert at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Music Pier.

The show will feature orchestral transcriptions, patriotic favorites, jazz standards, new compositions, and distinctive arrangements. Although the concert is free, attendees must register for tickets in advance.

Call 609-399-6111 or stop by the City Hall Welcome Center (861 Asbury Avenue) or the Roy Gillian Welcome Center on the Route 52 causeway.

The Heritage Brass band brings the military tradition of brass and percussion to the concert stage. The band is comprised of professional airmen who perform throughout the eastern seaboard.

“Whether performing in a concert hall, an educational venue, a large sporting event, or in support of a military function,” their website says, “their innovative approach allows them to perform both as a large symphonic group and an intimate chamber ensemble.”
