Carefree Boat Club of South Jersey was happy to host Michele Gillian, executive director of the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony July 21.
Carefree’s new location serving the Ocean City market is at Marmora’s All Seasons Marina, one of South Jersey’s largest full-service marine facilities.
The club had a soft opening for its new location and started accepting new members on Memorial Day weekend. It still has limited membership spots available for the remainder of the season.
Carefree gives its members unlimited access to its fleet of boats. They have center consoles, bow-riders, pontoons, RIBs, ski boats and jet skis. The club is up to 21 boats and four jet skis at its Avalon location and is starting with six boats and two jet skis in the Ocean City market.
Members will have access to both South Jersey locations as well as more than 115 Carefree locations nationwide. Membership, however, extends beyond just having access to boats. Members get unlimited on-the-water training, can boat “spur of the moment,” and don’t have to worry about the traditional hassles that come with boat ownership.
The experienced staff also provides full white-glove concierge service, so when members show up, everything is ready to go. When they return, they can just get off the boat and leave.
Membership Director Sean McNulty is extremely excited about opening Carefree Boat Club’s new location.
“Our mission is to make boating more accessible to everyone,” McNulty said. “Some of my fondest memories growing up come from boating with my family. We are working extremely hard to create the same memories for families in South Jersey.”
