3 Things To Do For Halloween In Ocean City
The parade is canceled, but Halloween is not. Here are some Ocean City activities for the upcoming holiday.
Trick-or-Treat
Officials set trick-or-treating hours to 4-7 p.m. Oct. 31. The New Jersey Department of Health issued guidance with the following recommendations:
- Effective face coverings: Trick-or-treaters and families passing out treats should wear masks. Costume masks are not an acceptable substitute for cloth or disposable masks.
- Social distancing: Trick-or-treaters should limit their groups to household members and maintain social distancing between others.
- Be healthy: Nobody should participate in these activities if they have been exposed to COVID-19, are sick or symptomatic, or have not yet completed isolation after a COVID-19 diagnosis.
- Limit shared contact: Arrange individually packaged candy so that trick-or-treaters can grab and go outside without touching a shared bowl.
Skate Park Event
The Ocean City Skate Park will host a Halloween event with prizes for best trick and costume. Free candy and music will be available. The skate runs from 4 p.m. until dusk Oct. 31.
Trunk or Treat
JiLLy’s will host a trunk or treat from 3-4 p.m. Oct. 31 in the arcade parking lot. The event will feature free candy, music by DJ Ghost, appearances from Fry Guy and a chance to win a $5 fun card.
JiLLy’s will also hold contests for best costume and best decorated car. Preregistration for the car competition is required.
