Enjoy the works of a local photography club at the Ocean City Arts Center in July.
July’s show, titled “Creative Dreams: Where Vision & Photography Intersect,” will feature works from the Stay Focused Photo Club, the Ocean City Arts Center announced in a news release.
The exhibit opens July 2 and runs through July 29. A “Meet the Artist” reception will be held on Friday, July 11 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Gallery is located in the Ocean City Arts Center, 1735 Simpson Ave., 2nd Floor.
Stay Focused Photography Club’s exhibit showcases how photographers utilize the medium to translate their internal visions and artistic influences into tangible works through a diverse range of styles and even unconventional techniques, according to the news release. Considering that photography is a medium that can both capture reality and create illusions, this exhibition explores how photographers utilize its unique capabilities to bring their dreams and artistic visions to life.
The Stay Focused Photography Club has been active since 2002.
“We are honored to be having our second group show at the Ocean City Arts Center! Our members range from amateurs to professionals, always striving for excellence in everything we do! This current show demonstrates our creativity, vision, and breadth as we push the boundaries of light, color, and gesture!” Anne Harlan, president of the club, said.
