Doo Dah Parade Returning To Ocean City This Weekend

Ocean City’s annual tribute to humor returns this Saturday, April 9, with the parade kicking off at noon.

The 35th annual parade marks the opening of a season of special events throughout the year. Featured in the parade will be marching bands, floats, and a brigade of basset hounds.

The grand marshals for this year’s event are Jimmy and Joe Watson, who were part of the Broad Street Bullies team that won two Stanley Cup titles in the 1970s. Both are members of the Philadelphia Flyers Hall of Fame. The brothers will be available for photos and autographs after the parade.

The route will begin at Sixth Street and travel from downtown Asbury Avenue to 12th Street. It will then turn to the boardwalk at 12th Street and finish on the boardwalk at Sixth Street.
