The Ocean City Flower Show will celebrate “Red, White and Blooms” from Friday to Sunday (June 5 to June 7) at the Ocean City Music Pier.
The 52nd annual show is presented by the Garden Club of Ocean City and features floral creations and displays from enthusiasts of all ages.
Awards are given in a variety of categories for artistic design and horticulture. This year’s theme encourages entrants to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary with their themed displays. The event also features a small sales pavilion.
The public is invited to check out the beautiful displays. Show hours are 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free (donations to the Garden Club are optional).
The popular weekly Farmers Market on the grounds of the Ocean City Tabernacle (along Asbury Avenue between Fifth Street and Sixth Street) opens for the 2026 season on June 3 and returns every Wednesday through early September.
Booths of locally grown produce and specialties, along with crafters, set up on the 500 block of Asbury Avenue. The hours are 8 a.m. to noon every week.
The Ocean City Police Benevolent Association (PBA) Local 61 will sponsor a new Fishing Tournament on Sunday, June 7. Any team of up to four anglers is invited to participate.
The event will include cash prizes and be followed by a weigh-in and barbecue at American Legion Post 524. More information and a printable registration form are available at ocnj.us/events/99452.
Registration is open for Emergency Responder 5K on June 13:
The Emergency Responder 5-Kilometer Race will be held on Saturday, June 13, and registration remains open. Formerly known as the “Cop Chase,” the event now honors all first responders and is staged from the Ocean City Civic Center (Sixth Street and Boardwalk), with race-day registration opening at 7 a.m. and the race beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The event also includes a 1-mile fun run/walk and kids’ events including 50- and 100-meter dashes and a 400-meter obstacle course. The 5-kilometer and 1-mile events start on the Boardwalk and finish on the OCHS track.
