Ocean City PD To Host Coffee With Cops
The Ocean City Police Department will host a”Coffee with Cops” event. You can join members of the OCPD in a casual setting to ask questions, express concerns or just chill.
“Coffee with Cops” takes place 8-10 a.m. Monday at Drip N Scoop (10th and Asbury Avenue).
“Coffee with a Cop” began in Hawthorne, California, in 2011. Local officers were looking for ways to more successfully interact with citizens and establish trust.
The concept has since expanded to police departments in all 50 states, as well as Canada, Latin America, Europe, Australia, and Africa. The goal is to create an opportunity for cops and citizens to interact outside of crisis situations. And who knows, you might get a coffee out of it.
