The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company (OCTC) announced the 2026 Summer Children’s Theatre Series. The series will feature five fully staged family musicals, presented every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Ocean City Music Pier. Performances are scheduled from July 7 through Aug. 4.
Individual tickets for the shows will be available starting at 9 a.m. on March 2. Tickets can be purchased for $11 in advance or $13 on the day of the show at oceancitytheatrecompany.com. A Children’s Theatre Subscription package is also available, offering discounted tickets for all five shows with priority seating.
The series opens on July 7 with “WINNIE THE POOH: The Musical,” based on A.A. Milne’s classic stories. On July 14, “HOW I BECAME A PIRATE” will be presented, telling the story of young Jeremy Jacob joining a pirate crew. “THE BERENSTAIN BEARS: The Musical” is scheduled for July 21, bringing classic Berenstain Bears books to the stage.
July 28 will feature “JUNIE B JONES: The Musical,” which follows Junie B.’s experiences on her first day of first grade. The series concludes on Aug. 4 with “SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE! (TYA),” a musical adaptation of the Emmy Award-winning 1970s cartoon series.
OCTC also offers a special group ticket rate for summer camps or youth programs. Interested groups can email info@oceancitytheatrecompany.com to learn more about group rates. Funding for the series has been provided in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts / Department of State, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Cape May County Board of County Commissioners through the Cape May County Division of Culture & Heritage. The City of Ocean City also supports the live, family-friendly entertainment at the Ocean City Music Pier.
